Supervised

Well hello there myself dear readers.
Today I'm going to watch pr0nz write about the new plant variants.

Intro
With the release of the Warrior's Strike structure deck, plant decks have been revitalized with the introduction of the equip card "Supervise".

Equip only to a Gemini Monster. It is treated as an Effect Monster, and gains its effect(s). When this face-up card on the field is sent to the Graveyard, select and Special Summon 1 Normal Monster from your Graveyard.
In a plant deck this card has more than one purpose. The first effect speeds up the deck by giving Gigaplant its effect as soon as it is summoned, while the second effect enables the deck to maintain field presence and gives it the chance to preform a multitude of combos.
Example:

  • Normal summon Lonfire Blossom
  • Use its effect to SS Gigaplant
  • Equip Supervise to Gigaplant
  • Use Gigaplants effect to SS Lonfire Blossom
  • Use Lonfire Blossoms effect to SS  Copy Plant
  • Synchro for Power Tool Dragon
  • Due to Supervises effect Gigaplant is SSed
  • Use Power Tool Dragons effect
  •  If you get a "Supervis"... Lather, rinse, repeat

The Deck
Ok now lets get to the deck. My version of the deck is a dark variant which runs cards like "Mystic Tomato" & "Violet Witch" to search out key components of the deck and also runs more generic dark support like "Allure of Darkness" & "Dark Armed Dragon".

DGV - Dark GigaVise
Monsters: 18
1x Blackwing - Gale the Whirlwind
1x Blackwing - Sirocco the Dawn
1x Copy Plant
2x Cyber Valley
1x Dark Armed Dragon
2x Gigaplant
1x Gorz the Emissary of Darkness
2x Lonefire Blossom
2x Mystic Tomato
1x Nettles
1x Plaguespreader Zombie
1x Sangan
2x Violet Witch

Spells: 17
2x Allure of Darkness
1x Arms Hole
1x Brain Control
1x D.D.R. - Different Dimension Reincarnation
1x Heavy Storm
2x Mark of the Rose
1x Mind Control
2x Miracle Fertilizer
1x My Body as a Shield
1x Mystical Space Typhoon
1x Reasoning
3x Supervise

Traps: 5
2x Bottomless Trap Hole
1x Mirror Force
1x Solemn Judgment
1x Torrential Tribute

Extra Deck: 15

1x Ally of Justice Catastor
2x Black Bulldrago
1x Black Rose Dragon
1x Blackwing Armor Master
1x Brionac, Dragon of the Ice Barrier
1x Colossal Fighter
1x Gaia Knight, the Force of the Earth
1x Goyo Guardian
2x Power Tool Dragon
1x Red Dragon Archfiend
2x Stardust Dragon
1x Thought Ruler Archfiend

Tech Choices
        Reasoning
With the summoning restrictions caused by cards "Miracle Fertilizer" & "Arms Hole", reasoning gives you the chance to summon another monster without conflicting with the above cards. Due to the decks mixture of different level monsters your opponent will have a hard time guessing the right level.

Blackwing - Sirocco the Dawn
Because Sirocco’s ability counts the ATK of Blackwing monsters on your opponent’s side of the field as well as your own its effect is quite useful against BWs, which seem to be enjoying quite some popularity at the moment. Othervise it servers as a different level for Reasoning and with gale you can get out a lvl 8 synchro.

VayuZombie & Lego Block explained

Take two broken things and duck tape them together...
In my previous post I mentioned something called the Lego Block approach.
It's what I call when you take multiple deck engines (Zombie, DHero, ect.), simplify them as much as possible and then try out diffrent combinations of 2 or more.

Example of simplified Zombie (synchro) engine:
2x Mezuki
2x Goblin Zombie
1x Plaguespreader Zombie
1x Zombie Master

A overkill good example of this approach is Dale Bellidos DBZ deck (DarkBlackwingZombie). Where he took the DHero engine, the Vayu engine and Zombie engine and stuck them all together.

Looks bad on paper...
Ok now for an example of a whole deck. This is one of my not online real life TCG decks on which I have been working on since ages ago the new banlist.
My Grave Flag (VayuZombie) deck:

Monsters: 20
1x Dark Armed Dragon

1x Gorz the Emissary of Darkness
1x Blackwing - Gale the Whirlwind
2x Blackwing - Sirocco the Dawn
2x Blackwing - Vayu the Emblem of Honor
2x Dark Grepher
2x Goblin Zombie
2x Mezuki
2x Necro Gardna
1x Armageddon Knight
1x Sangan /
Mystic Tomato
1x Plaguespreader Zombie
1x Zombie Master
1x Morphing Jar

Spells: 13
3x Burial from a Different Dimension
2x Foolish Burial
2x Allure of Darkness
1x Brain Control
1x My Body as a Shield
1x Heavy Storm
1x Lightning Vortex
1x Mystical Space Typhoon
1x Reinforcement of the Army

Traps: 7

2x Bottomless Trap Hole
2x Phoenix Wing Wind Blast
1x Call of the Haunted
1x Solemn Judgment
1x Torrential Tribute

Extra:
3x Blackwing Armed Wing
2x Blackwing Armor Master
1x Blackwing - Silver Wind the Isolated
1x Ally of Justice Catastor
1x Black Rose Dragon
1x Brionac, Dragon of the Ice Barrier
1x Doomkaiser Dragon
1x Goyo Guardian

1x Colossal Fighter
1x Thought Ruler Archfiend
2x Stardust Dragon

One of the decks strengths aside from Burial abuse is that it can play diffrently from game to game. One game it can play like a vayu turbo deck, while somtimes you don't even see vayu in a game and the zombie aspect shines.

Choices, choices, so many choices...
The deck is not yet finnalized so I'll be talking about some of the card choices that are.

 Phoenix Wing Wind Blast
Gets rid of annoying cards like Collossal Fighter & can discard key cards (Mezuki, Vayu, ect.), there by setting up for a swarm. And if needed it can get rid of cards like royal oppression.

Necro Gardna
With the deck already running both Dark Grepher & Burial from a Different Dimension this is quite a logical choice. This card helps you survive your opponents attacks, protects key monsters like dark grepher and serves as a payment for all the discard costs this deck has.

Lightning Vortex
Has similar pros and cons as Phoenix Wing Wind Blast but can net you massive card advantage by punishing overextension that is often made by decks like sacksworn Lightsworn.

Oh noes its kryptonite...
The decks weeknesses are cards that either remove cards from the graveyard or that prevent you from removing cards from the graveyard.

Examples:
Kycoo, The Ghost Destroyer
Necrovalley
Soul Release

The deck has ways  of getting oround those problems but these cards can still do game braking amounts of damage.

Closing thought:
With the introduction of Brionac, Dragon of the Ice Barrier in Hidden Arsenal this deck will gain a very very big tremendous power bost, so watch out for this deck or it might rape take you from behind by suprise.

First Post & Deck

Well hello and welcome to my blog.
As the description says this blog is about creating new decks & makeing my versions of popular decks from both the TCG and OCG (my OCG knowledge is limitted).

The main purpose of this blog is for me to have a place to storage all my wierd deck ideas.

Now most of my deck are usally based of other decks (aka netdecked then reworked with new ideas). You'll also be seeing lots of similar decks because I take a lego block approach in deck building (ex.: Zombie engine + Vayu).

A while ago I add Razues to my MSN and started a debate about Magōshin (Fiend Roar Deitys) in which I stated that Magōshin were splashable (the new beast ones) to which replied with a "no" and shortly there after I was blocked.

Totaly pwned Highly motivated I set of to prove him wrong. to myself  that they were splashable.

Well the result is this deck wich is based on two cat synchro variants: Cat Chaos (TCG) & Magōshin Cat (OCG)
