Fabled, now available in "Ekushiizu Shoukan!!!" flavour

So I started making YuGiOh related youtube videos. To celebrate that on this blog I present to you my current Fabled deck, plus a video of it in action.

Video

Deck

Sangan x1
Honest x1
Fabled Krus x1
Fabled Kushano x1
The Fabled Catsith x2
The Fabled Cerburrel x2
The Fabled Chawa x2
The Fabled Ganashia x3
Photon Sabre Tiger x3
Tour Guide from the Underworld x3
Gorz the Emissary of Darkness x1
Black Luster Soldier - Envoy of the Beginning x1

Same as in my T.G. deck Photon Sabre Tiger replaces Reborn Tengu, but here this also shifts the decks focus more towards Rank 3 XYZs and control styled play.

The Fabled Catsith and Honest were added as an out to problem cards like Skill Drain and Evolzar Laggia, which othervise prevent you from playing out your combos.

1x Book of Moon
1x Card Destruction
1x Dark Hole
1x Heavy Storm
1x Enemy Controller
1x Mind Control
1x Monster Reborn
2x Mystical Space Typhoon

The spell lineup consists mostly of staples except for the lone Enemy Controller, which serves as both a defensive card and a offensive one using the advantage generated by cards like Tour Guide of the Underworld and Photon Sabre Tiger.

Phoenix Wing Wind Blast x2
Divine Wrath x2
Starlight Road x1
Solemn Judgment x1
Solemn Warning x2
Torrential Tribute x2

The inclusion of Divine Wrath is justifed with the heavy monster effect reliance of the top deck like Dino Rabbit and Inzektor.

1x Ally of Justice Catastor
1x Ancient Sacred Wyvern
1x Black Rose Dragon
1x Brionac, Dragon of the Ice Barrier
1x Fabled Leviathan
1x Fabled Ragin
1x Gaia Knight, the Force of Earth
1x Mist Wurm
1x Scrap Dragon
1x Stardust Dragon
1x The Fabled Unicore
1x Nuber 39: Utopia
1x Nuber 17: Leviathan Dragon
1x Leviar the Sea Dragon
1x Wind-Up Zenmaines

Due to the addition of XYZ monsters the synchro line-up had to be slimed down, which also limits the cards that can be played in the main deck (example Formula Synchron & Dandylion).

P.S. The youtube channel also has a game using my Dark Rose XYZ deck so check it out.

Weeds always grow back

So since Konami butchered plant synchro with the new ban list, I decided to cry like a little girl create a new type of plant deck (took me a little longer than expected to make the deck consistent enough).

Ctrl+C Exceed:
This is a reactive control focused deck that waits for your opponents plays, steals their monsters (with MotRMind Control & Big Eye) and uses them for XYZing/Synchroing or as beatstiks.

3x Fallen Angel of Roses
3x Cherry Inmato
3x Verz Mandrago
2x Copy Plant
1x Gigaplant
1x Lonefire Blossom
1x Sangan
1x Violet Witch
1x Gorz the Emissary of Darkness
2x Effect Veiler
2x Maxx "C"

Fallen Angel of Roses & Copy Plant are the power cards of the deck, they give you access to a wide variety extra deck cards. While Verz Mandrago and Cherry Inmato serve as combo enablers for the deck.

Notable play:
Special Summon* Verz Mandrago & return to hand to SS* Fallen Angel of Roses, normal summon Copy Plant, use its effect and XYZ into a Rank 7 or SS a level 8 Synchro (withouth using Copy Plants effect).
You can also preform this play with Lonefire Blossom instead of Copy Plant by tributing Verz Mandrago for Lonefires effect.

Mark of the Rose x3
Miracle Fertelizer  x2
Mystical Space Typhoon x2
Heavy Storm x1
Dark Hole x1
Allure of Darkness x1
Monster Reborn x1
Foolish Burial x1
Mind Control x1
Book of Moon x1

Mark of the Rose is prety much a legal version Snatch Steal which has become even stronger with the introduction of XYZs.
Because the way XYZ summons are ruled, Miracle Fertelizer stays on the field if the summoned monster is used as a XYZ material and with Verz Mandrago one can bypass the "no normal summon" drawback.

Notable play:
Steal your opponents  Number 39: Utopia with either Mind Control or Mark of the Rose and turn it into your Number C39: Utopia Ray.

2x Torrential Tribute
2x Solemn Warning
1x Solemn Judgment
1x Mirror Force

Because both Effect Veiler & Maxx "C" are already used and due to deck space, the trap line up is keept minimal with the only notable inclusion being the newly semi-limited Torrentail Tribute.

Notable play:
One can negate Macro Cosmos with Solemn Warning because its effect includes Special Summoning.

Ally of Justice Catastor x1
Brionac, Dragon of the Ice Barrier x1
Black Rose Dragon x1
Stardust Dragon x1
Scrap Dragon x1
Gachi Gachi Gantetsu x1
Wind-Up Zenmaines x1
Number 39: Utopia x2
Number C39: Utopia Ray x1
Photon Streak Bouncer x1
The Sacred Ptolemys M7 x1
Number 11: Big Eye x2
Ennead, the Holy Marked Divine Dragon x1

The Rank 6 XYZs are usaly summoned by using Gigaplant Ennead is summoned with your opponents monsters like
Elemental Hero Absolute Zero
While Black Rose Dragon is the least summoned monster from the extra deck, its 2nd effect can in ocassion be as devastating as its 1st.

Notable cards not included in the deck:
  • Dark Armed Dragon -> the deck runs quite a few darks but due to its speed this card is dead in your hand more often than not. A faster verzion of this deck could run it (either a turbo or a mill variant).
  • Pot of Avarice -> same as Dark Armed Dragon.
  • Blackwing - Zephyros the Elite -> combos with Miracle Fertelizer.
  • Mist Wurm -> can replace one of the less used extra deck cards.
  • Thunderclap Knight - Gaia Dragoon -> is quite devastating with Mark of the Rose if your opponents deck focuses on Rank 5 or 6 XYZs.

That time of the year

The reason why I haven't been writng stuff here was because I wasn't innovating at all and only atendet locals.
I played Plants until TGU came out and then TGs.
Now this list rapes my TG deck so I have to get into a creative spirit again so expect more frequent posts from now on.

Hey guys all 5 of you, its been a while since I last posted. I took a little break from YuGiOh because of University but now I'm back.

Back on topic. With the impending release of HA04 on the 14th of April, we will finnaly be getting "The Fabled" and that means it's clobbering time to build a new deck.

U RAGIN EUROPE?

Because in Europe (and Oceania) we won't be alowed to use T.G. Hyper Librarian in our extra decks. And that is why this build will be more of a control version, than for example Bahamut84's version, using more defensive cards like Phoenix Wing Wind Blast.

Monsters: 21

Dandylion x1
Doppelwarrior x1
Fabled Grimro x3
Fabled Krus x3
Fabled Kushano x1
Morphing Jar x1
The Fabled Catsith x1
The Fabled Cerburrel x3
The Fabled Chawa x2

1x Pot of Avarice

Traps: 7

Extra Deck: 15
1x Ally of Justice Catastor
1x Ancient Sacred Wyvern

1x Formula Synchron
1x Scrap Dragon
1x Stardust Dragon
1x The Fabled Unicore
1x Trishula, Dragon of the Ice Barrier

Closing comment:
The deck can easly be bumped up to 42 cards so one can add cards like a 2nd Pot of Avarice or any other tech choice.
Until next time and remember kids "DON'T BE RAGIN" when you play against this deck.

Pineapple Express

Hi there again, it's been a while since I posted.
This time I'll do things a bit differently,  instead of posting a deck I will be posting more of a guide on how to build it yourself.

The deck in question is Pineapple Express which I got from the forum Duelistgroundz.
It is basically a plant cat deck with the new Naturia cards from DREV, Pineapple & Bamboo Shoot.

Naturia Bamboo Shoot
*****
Earth/Plant/Effect
2000/2000
If this card is Tribute Summoned by tributing a "Naturia" monster, while this card remains face-up on the field, your opponent cannot activate Spell or Trap Cards.

Naturia Pineapple
**
Earth/Plant/Effect
100/100

All face-up monsters you control are treated as Plant-Type. If this card is in your Graveyard during your Standby Phase, and you control no Spell or Trap Cards, you can Special Summon this card. This effect cannot be activated if you control a face-up "Naturia Pineapple" or if there are any monsters in your Graveyard that are not Plant or Beast-Type.

With that out of the way, now for cards & numbers.

First we have the beasts:
1x Rescue Cat
Well it's a synchro cat deck at its core.

2-3x Ryko, Lightsworn Hunter
It's a beast, mills your Pineapples and is a all-around good card.

1x Snyffus
It's a plant & beast deck, we can't go without this fellow.

2-3x X-Saber Airbellum
Level 3 beast tuner for zee cat, solid effect.

1-3x Super-Nimble Mega Hamster
Creates field advantage, searches for Ryko or a tuner for synchro summoning the next turn.

Then we have the plants:
2-3x Naturia Pineapple
The name giver of the deck. Pretty much works like a Treeborn Frog.

2-3x Naturia Bamboo Shoot
With enough protection this card can be a game winner but don't focus to much on it.

2x Lonefire Blossom
Since we want to get to our Pineapples to be live as soon as possible, this is a natural inclusion.

1-2x Dandylion
With all the milling, discarding, synching, ect. the deck does, this card and its tokens can come quite in handy.

1x Spore
The best plant tuner available in the tcg.

1x Tytannial, Princess of Camellias
With Pineapple, Lonefire and Dandylion this card is a auto-inclusion. Even tribute summoning this gal shouldn't be a problem.

Thats it for the monster lineup, now for the spells and traps:
2-3x Enemy Controller
With Pineapples/Dandylions effect and 5 tuners in the maindeck this is pretty much a staple.

2-3x Pot of Avarice
With all the milling and cat abuse this card can be live quite soon in the game. Personally I would run 2.

1x Foolish Burial
We want our Pineapples & Dandylions in the grave.

0-1x Cold Wave
Helps with big pushes.

1x Brain & Mind Control each
5 tuners + pot of avarice.

2x PWWB /or Raigeki Break
Same as Foolish Burial and protects Bamboo Shoot.

The rest should be filled with staples and personal tech choices.

Tech examples:
Behemoth the King of All Animals
Tribute Pineapple and/or Fluff token(s) and get back Rescue Cat from the grave.

XX-Saber Darksoul
Enables you to run XX-Saber Hyunlei in your extra deck.

Treeborn Frog
You just summon it before the Pineapple. Makes tribute summoning Tytannial easier.

Cactus Bouncer
Good for locking down your opponent even further after you've set up Bamboo Shoot or Naturia Beast.

Pollinosis
With Pineapples and Dandylions effect this pretty much becomes a free solemn. Also great for protecting Bamboo Shoot.

Divine Warning
More protection.

Royal Oppression
Same as Cactus Bouncer.

Spiritual Earth Art - Kurogane
Tribute Pineapple, summon zee cat!!!

As far as the extra deck goes only Naturia Beast is mandatory the rest should be filled up with staples and plant/beast type synchros like Voltic Bicorn or Splendid Rose.

Naturia Beast
*****
Earth/Beast/Synchro/Effect
2200/1700
1 EARTH Tuner + 1 or more non-Tuner EARTH monsters
While this card is face-up on the field, you can send the top 2 cards of your Deck to the Graveyard to negate the activation of a Spell Card and destroy it.

Ways to summon Naturia Beast in this deck:
  • Naturia Pineapple + X-Saber Airbellum
  • Super-Nimble Mega Hamster+Synffus

This is all for today, I hope it was as interesting to read as it was to write.
